Placer County law enforcement partners participate in the DEA Prescription Drug Take Backs every Fall and Spring. There are 12-13 sites across Placer County where residents can drop off their prescription drugs. During the 2017 Spring Take Back, 72% of participants reported that they did NOT secure their RX. This short clip by one of the participating School Resource Officers offers a good reason why it is necessary for everyone–even grandparents–to lock up their prescription medications and drop off outdated and unused Rx.
